Shri Raj Kumar Chaudhary, Chairman and Managing Director of NHPC, holds a Civil Engineering degree from BIT Sindri and an Advanced Diploma in Management. In 2024, he became Director-in-Charge of Bokaro Steel Plant and serves as a nominee Director on the Board of Bokaro Power Supply Company

He led projects like the Alternate Gas Network and RHF#1 upgrades. At CET, he oversees SAIL expansion efforts, including Bokaro's 2.5 Mtpa Brownfield expansion feasibility study.

Having extensive experience in the field of Utilities & Services, had played a lead role in implementation of projects like Alternate Gas Network, Upgradation of RHF#1, Modernization of Cooling water System etc. in Bokaro Steel Plant. Also, he was instrumental in preparation of pre-feasibility report of 2.5 Mtpa Brownfield expansion of BSL. Under his leadership CET is playing key role in Expansion projects of SAIL.
